The outcome of the 2016 elections is going to have a profound impact on the country.

The future of the progressive movement is at risk this year more than ever before.  If our country elects any of the remaining Republican candidates into the White House, all of the progress we’ve made and that we stand to make will be threatened.  Women’s rights, voting rights, and our environment will be just a fraction of what’s at stake.  The next president will likely nominate multiple Supreme Court Justices, and the fates of issues like healthcare reform and reproductive healthcare rights are hanging in the balance.  If you are motivated and committed to progressive victories this year and you feel that you can recognize and appreciate those qualities in others, then get involved with us now and help us build a team that will get the job done. 

Grassroots Campaigns will be running large scale voter registration, persuasion, and get out the vote efforts across the country, putting campaign staff in key battleground states and races. To do this, we need to find hundreds of smart, politically motivated people to come on board as field staff, which is why we're expanding the recruitment team at our national headquarters in Boston.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Find highly motivated activists and leaders in cities across the country who want to get involved in campaigns this year. This could be by strategically placing ads, doing outreach onto college campuses, networking existing contacts, using social media, etc...
  • Interview thousands of candidates, recruiting them and helping to make hiring decisions.
  • Think creatively and help develop new recruitment and hiring strategies in a fast paced environment.
  • Coordinate the logistics of getting hundreds of new staff placed on projects across the country.


Strong communication skills, work ethic, and desire for political change are essential.  Candidates must be able to work within a team, have proven leadership ability and experience handling a lot of responsibility. Strong self-direction and the ability to take initiative are also necessary qualifications for National Recruiters. Candidates must be goal oriented and able to work long hours in order to hit staffing goals in time for the launch our upcoming election projects.




Starting salary is 25k per year.  Staff may opt into our health care plan after 90 days on staff. Paid training, vacation, and sick days are included.  Student loan assistance is available.
